Let's Get Caught Up...

Hello Friends, well... I finally got the pics loaded onto the computer... so here we go with the overdue update!

Friday, October 10th - we headed to Anacortes to catch the noon ferry to Orcas Island for 3 days of rest and relaxation

Waiting in line for the ferry:

Coffee while waiting, Hot for him, Iced for me:

Mmmm...Cookies while waiting:
Hey, there's a ghost of me in this one:

Yakima Ferry to Orcas Island:

So, we arrived at Deer Harbor on Orcas Island and I wish I could say we stayed here:

But TrendWest duped us and we stayed here (yikes!)trying not to dwell on this:

Saturday, October 11th (our 10th anniversary): We decided to go on a whale watching tour for our anniversary, so we had breakfast and then it was down to the harbor to get on the boat.
The Whale Watching boat:
Just kidding I forgot to take a pic of the boat.

The only pic we got of us over the weekend and I am bundled up on the boat since I am still trying to get over the nastiness I caught:

We didn't get to see any whales, but we did see quite a few porpoises and a few of them even came up to the boat to play. We also saw harbor seals and a overly large sea lion. And the guide who was soo wonderful told us to come back in June and he would take care of us since we missed seeing the whales on our anniversary. It was a wonderful day out on the water.... a three hour tour. Haha! Except we got back to the island. For dinner we went to the Deer Harbor Inn, which I highly recommend. Hubby had King Crab Legs and I had honey baked salmon with pecans. Yum! My camera died on the whale watching tour, thankfully we had the video camera as well. Sunday, was a quiet morning and a ferry ride back before driving home.
